Course Requirements
The
Program in
Insurance and Financial Services is offered under the sponsorship of
the Department of Finance. It is one of the six emphasis in the department.
All students who wish to take the complete insurance/financial services
curriculum must take the following six-unit Finance Core Requirements in
addition to Finance 320 which is part of the CBE business core requirement:
Finance 332 The Theory of Corporate Finance (3)
And
Finance 340 Introduction to Investments (3)
Or
Finance 342 Capital and Money Markets (3)
In
addition to the Finance core requirement, students in the Insurance and
Financial Services must complete 12 units of the following advisory track:
Finance 335 Financial Analysis for Lenders and
Investors
Finance 360 Principles of Insurance
Finance 410 Theory & Practice of Person
Financial Planning
Finance 411 Retirement & Estate Planning
Finance 461 Property & Liability Risk
Management
Finance 462 Life & Health Insurance
