Dr.
Mark Hoven Stohsis Professor of
Finance and began teaching at CSUF in 1996 after teaching finance and directing
the Masters in Business Finance program at University College Dublin in Ireland
from 1994-96. He earned his Ph.D. in Finance from the University of
Wisconsin-Madison, and has published in several finance journals. He recently
published "Are Real Estate IPOs A Different Species: Evidence from Hong
Kong IPOs," in the Journal of Real Estate Research (2001) along with Ko
Wang and Su Han Chan; and is currently completing research on the impact of
California’s Proposition 13 on residential mobility, with Paul Childs of the
University of Kentucky and Simon Stephenson of University College Dublin. He
also earned an M.B.A. and a Ph.D. in philosophy prior to his work in finance.
