Annotated data sources are arranged by
category. Exhibit 1 follows that of Thrall (2001), with several additional
categories added in Journal of Real Estate Literature, 2002, 10:2,
297-303.
Updates in this installment include data
sources on aging, which are important for tracking the demographic shift
of the population in the United States and the consequential impact on
real estate. Also included is a data source on tracking REITs.
Included with each annotation are contact
information for the public or private data vendor (address, URL),
descriptive information, and name and contact information of the person
submitting the data annotation. The data annotations presented in Exhibit
2 are additions or updates to those provided in Exhibit 2 of Thrall
(2001). All readers are encouraged to contribute annotations via email to the editor for the Real Estate Information Technology section of the Journal of Real Estate Literature, or to any REITech board member.
