Abstract:
The multiplicity of real estate
capital budgeting practices in Australia prompted this survey of major
real estate investors. The major findings of the survey were the diversity
and lack of sophistication in investment evaluation methods used by
investors, the preference for simple risk analysis, the variation in
understanding of the discount rate, and the lack of higher education
qualifications.
