Editorial Policy on Submission of Manuscripts to
the Journal of Real Estate Portfolio Management

Authors should submit manuscripts electronically for fast response – or four copies of clearly typed, double-space, paginated manuscript to:

Ping Cheng
Journal of Real Estate Portfolio Management
Email: pcheng@fau.edu

Authors are strongly urged to submit their manuscripts via email as attached Microsoft Word files. In such cases, authors must remove any identifying headers, footers, logos, etc. from the text and exhibits before submitting the file.

Authors are strongly advised to review a recent issue of the Journal to confirm that their manuscript is in the style the Journal requires. For nonmembers, a submission fee of $115 is required (one year Academic Membership dues) and should be made payable to ARES.

The cover page, which will be removed before the manuscript is sent to a referee, should contain all the author(s) name, affiliation, mailing address, phone and fax numbers, and email address. Please follow the Style Guidelines carefully when submitting a manuscript for publication. The editors will return to the author for revisions any article that does not follow these instructions.

PDF files are not acceptable for final versions. Neither are illustrations in color.

The Journal of Real Estate Portfolio Management is an official publication of the American Real Estate Society. Its purpose is to disseminate applied research on real estate investment and portfolio management. Manuscripts that are appropriate for the Journal are assigned anonymously by the editors to one member of the Editorial Board and at least one other reviewer.

Submitted manuscripts should be original work. The articles should not be under review simultaneously at another journal, nor substantially resemble articles that are under review at another journal. It is understood that ARES owns the copyright if the article is published. Besides articles, notes and commentaries are encouraged.

Please direct all inquiries regarding the status of a manuscript under review and other pertinent
matters to Randy Anderson, randerson@andgrp.com.

Each issue of the Journal has a Point of View section. Authors interested in publishing articles in this
section should contact Steven Laposa, Point of View Editor at steve.laposa@us.pwc.com
